The
Alliance for Children is proud to be in our
third year as a fully licensed adoption agency
in the State of Florida! We provide home study
services, adoption placements, and post placements
throughout the state of Florida. In addition
we can assist with domestic adoptions and international
adoptions through partnership with your identified
placement agency.
My name is Rob Lamarche, and I provided home
study services to Massachusetts and Rhode families
for 5 years prior to opening our office in South
Florida. I am eager to assist Florida families
with their adoptions. In addition feel free
to use me as an adoption resource for post placement
as well as general adoption information. The
Alliance for Children is Hague Accredidated,
has Russia Accredidation, CCAA Accredidation
and is approved by the Bienestar in Colombia

Update on Adoption
Programs for Florida Families
Colombia Casita Program at Alliance
for Children - Families need to be
open to adopt children up to the age of 36 months.
They are tested for Hepatitis B, HIV, and VDRL
, the program is open to couples and single
women, Colombian families are given preference.
USCIS approval is required prior to travel,
and must meet the eligibility requirements of
the Columbia Adoption Laws. Referral time can
be up to 18 months from submission of Dossier.
Travel is approximately 2 months after acceptance
of the assignment. Time in country is 3 to 4
weeks, one parent can leave after the first
week. Adoptions through the child welfare system,
ICBF directly are also available.
Taiwan Adoption Program - Infants
and toddles available. Children are tested and
screened for Hepititas B, HIV and VDRL. Couples
over 30 and under 50 years of age are eligible
to adopt. USCIS approval is required prior to
travel in addition to meeting the requirements
of the Taiwan Adoption Laws and provide necessary
documents to the Taiwanese government. Photo
and medical of the child are available upon
assignment; upon acceptance of referral, 4-6
months until placement. Photos and medical updates
of child's progress are emailed to family during
waiting time, when possible. One parent must
travel, 1 and 2 trip programs are available.
Alliance for Children assists families throughout
the entire adoption process, which includes
document gathering, assignment, travel, accommodations
and in country process.

ICBF Conference
in Colombia!
November,
2008: I just got back from the first
adopton conference sponsored by ICBF in Colombia.
I attended and met with many officials including
the Director of ICBF, Dr. Elvira Forero Hernandez
(shown below in the red blouse). It was very
productive, and naturally my favorite part was
spending time at one of the private children's
homes. I hope you will enjoy these pictures
from my visit.
